In Honor of Black History Month

Black History Month is a celebration of black history in America that was founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, who wanted to bring national attention to the large contribution of African-Americans to the history of their country, in 1926.

Each year during the month of February many celebrate this month to honor the achievements of generations of African Americans and their contributions which range from public service to education, business, the arts, medicine and law.

The strength shown by so many is something we never want to forget. Black History Month is a reminder that Americans are dedicated to ensure that the promise of America is available to every citizen.
